Situated in the vibrant coastal hub of Cox’s Bazar, designing Ammajan – The Sherwani Gallery presented a compelling architectural challenge: crafting a dedicated boutique for grand, ceremonial menswear within an ultra-compact footprint of just 150 square feet. Traditional bridal and formal menswear retail typically demands expansive spatial luxury to showcase heavy, ornate Sherwanis. In this context, the challenge was to transcend physical spatial constraints, engineering a sophisticated micro-retail presence that anchors the brand’s regal identity without overwhelming the small volume.
Design Brief
Vector Plinth approached the project as an exercise in high-precision spatial optimization, blending minimalist aesthetics with intuitive circulation flow. The design strategy eliminates visual clutter through custom-engineered, multi-functional display joinery and concealed storage solutions that maximize every inch of floor area. Strategic verticality, clean architectural lines, and tailored accent lighting elevate the rich textures and intricate craftsmanship of the Sherwanis, creating an illusion of spatial expanse. By seamlessly balancing spatial efficiency with an immersive sensory atmosphere, the design transforms a compact footprint into an elevated, seamless shopping experience that perfectly captures the brand’s essence.
